Most recently, Simon was Head of Credit, Australia at WTW where he was responsible for researching fixed income and credit managers spanning both the traditional and alternative credit universes, and advising clients on the portfolio construction for those asset classes.

Summary of private credit investor sentiment polling results

Global Investment Institute was delighted to host the world’s leading private credit investment experts and key decision makers of Australia’s largest institutional investor organisations, collectively representing more than A$2.14 trillion in assets under management at our premier annual Private Credit Investment Forum on Thursday, 8 May 2025 in Melbourne, Victoria.

Sentiment captured at the event through polling of participants was overwhelmingly positive with regard to investing in the private credit asset class, with 81% indicating that they are looking to increase their allocation to private credit, and the remaining 19% expecting it to remain unchanged.

Former TWUSUPER Chair, Nicholas Sherry appointed Co-Chair of Team Super

Global Investment Institute congratulates The Hon. Nicholas (Nick) Sherry on his appointment to the role of Co-Chair at Team Super.

Mine Super and TWUSUPER successfully completed their merger on 21 March 2025. To support the merger, Mine Super rebranded to Team Super on Monday, 20 January 2025. Team Super now manages over A$22 billion in assets and serves more than 150,000 members.

Most recently, Nick was the Independent Chair of the TWUSUPER Board since 2022, until the merger with Team Super.

Global Investment Institute congratulates Damian Graham on his transition to the Head of International role at Aware Super.

Aware Super manages a A$190 billion portfolio on behalf of the Fund’s 1.2 million members.

Damian will transition into the role of Head of International, based in London, at the end of the year after 12 years as the CIO of Aware Super. To ensure a smooth transition, Damian will remain in the role of CIO until a new appointment is made, following which he will relocate to London in late 2025.
