Global Investment Institute congratulates Damian Graham on his transition to the Head of International role at Aware Super.
Aware Super manages a A$190 billion portfolio on behalf of the Fund’s 1.2 million members.
Damian will transition into the role of Head of International, based in London, at the end of the year after 12 years as the CIO of Aware Super. To ensure a smooth transition, Damian will remain in the role of CIO until a new appointment is made, following which he will relocate to London in late 2025.
Damian said: “I am proud of what we have achieved over the last decade for our members in helping to secure their retirement, the significant growth and top-tier performance of our fund as we have expanded globally and the high calibre and experienced investment team we have developed. I thank Deanne and the Board for their support, and I am excited and invigorated by the opportunity to continue with the Fund and lead our global operations.”
Prior to joining Aware Super, Damian was the Head of Macquarie Private Portfolio Group at the Macquarie Group. His earlier roles include Business Development – Northern Regions at J.P. Morgan and Head of Retail Investment Research at Norwich Investment Management.
Damian holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from La Trobe University and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from Finsia. He is also a CFA charterholder.
