Global Investment Institute congratulates Matt Kempton on joining Cbus in the role Head of Equity Strategies.
Cbus is a superannuation fund with A$100 billion in assets under management and 920,000+ members.
Matt will join Cbus in August 2025 from Funds SA where he spent 7+ years and most recently held the role Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Director, Equities. Funds SA is an investment management partner for South Australian public sector superannuation funds and approved authorities, with A$41 billion in assets under management.
Prior to joining Funds SA in 2018, Matt spent ~5 years at Emergency Services & State Super (ESSSuper) as the Head of Investments. He has over 20 years’ experience across a variety of investment roles.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons), Economics and Finance from University of Melbourne and is a graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
