Global Investment Institute congratulates Brendon Jones on his promotion to the Head of Real Assets role at NZ Super Fund.
The NZ Super Fund invests Government capital contributions, and the returns, to contribute to the cost of paying superannuation later. The Fund has more than NZ$90 billion in assets.
Most recently, Brendon served as Director, Real Assets at NZ Super Fund, having joined the fund in 2014.
Brendon has been involved with some of NZ Super Fund’s most important and best-known investments, including Kaingaroa Tipu, NZ Gourmet, Fidelity Life and Kiwibank, and currently sits on the board of several investee companies. More recently, he led involvement in the Taranaki Offshore Partnership's proposal to develop a 1GW windfarm in the South Taranaki Bight.
Previously, Brendon held various roles at Moelis & Company, Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO Bank.
Brendon holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance and Economics, with First-Class Honours in Finance, from the University of Auckland.
