Global Investment Institute congratulates Michael Sommers on his appointment to the Senior Portfolio Manager, Opportunistic Strategies role at Australian Retirement Trust (ART).
ART is one of Australia’s largest super funds, formed through the merger of Sunsuper and QSuper, with more than ~A$330 billion in assets under management and over 2.4 million members.
Most recently, Michael served as Founder and Principal Consultant at Redholme Advisory. Prior to that, he was General Manager, Portfolio Construction and Risk at HESTA.
Previously, Michael has held various senior roles at Frontier Advisors, CIBC World Markets, Lloyds Banking Group and the Bank of Scotland.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science, Finance, Actuarial, Statistics and Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Commerce, with Honours, both from the University of Melbourne. He also holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
