Global Investment Institute congratulates Briar Dowsett on her appointment to the General Manager, Property role at HESTA.

HESTA is an Australian industry superannuation fund with ~A$107 billion in assets under management and over ~1.1 million members.

Briar will commence in her new role in November 2026, where she will report to Jeff Brunton, Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Portfolio Management. Briar currently serves as Fund Manager and Head of Mandates at QIC, having joined the organisation in 2017.

Previously, Briar held various roles at QSuper Limited, NAB, Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation and BT Financial Group.

Briar holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.
