Global Investment Institute congratulates Dean Italia on his appointment to the Head of Investments, APAC role at Bupa Australia. In this role, Dean is responsible for implementing and enhancing returns for Bupa’s APAC investment portfolios, working with external managers.
Bupa Australia offer a broad range of services, including aged care and retirement, dental, optical, health insurance, and community wellbeing initiatives. They are an international healthcare company serving more than over 60 million customers worldwide.
Most recently, Dean served as Portfolio Manager, Fixed Interest and Cash at Medibank. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager, Head of Credit Funds at Mutual Limited.
Before that, Dean held various roles at Alexander Funds Management, Al-Khabeer International Company, National Australia Bank, Challenger Limited and Macquarie Group.
Dean holds a Bachelor of Business, Banking and Finance, with Honours, from Monash University.
