Global Investment Institute congratulates Chris Newton on his appointment to the Head of Stewardship role at Aware Super.
Aware Super is an Australian superannuation fund with ~A$237 billion in assets under management and 1.3 million members.
Most recently, Chris served as Chair, ESG Advisory Council at Blackwattle Investment Partners. Prior to that, Chris was Executive Director, Responsible Investment at IFM Investors for more than six years.
Previously, Chris held various roles at Australia Post, Transurban, Deloitte, the Office of the Treasurer of Victoria, ANZ and AMP.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Asian Studies, Marketing and Management from Murdoch University and a Master of Business Administration, Management from Melbourne Business School.
