Global Investment Institute congratulates Anna Young-Ferris on her appointment to the role of Head of Stewardship and Senior Manager, Responsible Investment at Aware Super.
Aware Super manages a A$190 billion portfolio on behalf of the Fund’s 1.2 million members.
Anna joins the responsible investment team, reporting to Liza McDonald, Head of Responsible Investment. Most recently, she was Managing Director at Conscious Capital Co.
Previously, Anna was the Academic Co-Lead for the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) leading the strategic integration of the SDGs into teaching, research, and organisational practices at the University of Sydney Business School.
Anna specialises in sustainability and climate change strategy, reporting and impact, combining 20 years of academic and corporate experience. Her award-winning PhD examined the integration of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) accounting information in mainstream investment decisions.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Economics (Political Economy), with Honours, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Business and Accounting, Responsible Investment; ESG integration and Funds management, both from the University of Sydney.
