Global Investment Institute congratulates Andrew Scott on his appointment to the Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income role at Aware Super.
Aware Super is an Australian superannuation fund with ~A$200 billion in assets under management and 1.2 million members.
In his new role, Andrew will report to Sonia Baillie, Aware Super’s Head of Income Assets. Andrew will lead the portfolio management of Aware Super’s A$10 billion Australian Fixed Income sector. He will be responsible for sector construction, portfolio and risk management, including oversight of external managers and contribute to the International Fixed Income sector through manager selection, performance and risk monitoring.
Sonia said, “Andrew brings an exceptional depth of experience across fixed income portfolio management, macro markets and implementation, as well as a strong track record of building robust investment and risk management frameworks.”
Most recently, Andrew served as Senior Portfolio Manager, Multi-Asset at Australian Ethical Investors.
Prior to that, Andrew spent nearly two decades at AMP Capital in various senior roles, including Senior Portfolio Manager - Macro Markets in the Global Fixed Income team, Global Head of Dealing, Transitions and Exposure Management, and Head of Front Office Design Authority.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, Accounting and Government from the University of Sydney.
