Global Investment Institute congratulates Jason Chesters on his appointment to the role of Head of Treasury & Investments at The University of Western Australia (UWA).
UWA is a leading Australian research university and has an international reputation for excellence, innovation and enterprise. A member of the Australian 'Group of Eight' research universities, it is also among Australia's leading research universities.
Most recently, Jason served as Senior Investment Manager at the Insurance Commission of Western Australia.
Jason has worked in the investment industry for over 20 years in funds management, equities research and investment strategy. Prior roles include Resources Analyst at Patersons Securities, Head of Equities at Patersons Asset Management, Chief Investment Officer at St. George Capital, Chief Investment Officer at Tri-Linear Investment Management and Head of Portfolio Management at Fairheads Asset Managers.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Economics from the University of Pretoria and a Master of Science, Finance (Economic Policy) from the University of London. He is also a CFA charterholder.
