Global Investment Institute congratulates Ruwanie Dias on her appointment to the role of Global Head of Externally Managed Funds role at QBE Insurance.
QBE is an international insurer and reinsurer headquartered in Sydney with a local presence in 26 countries and $A30 billion in assets under management. QBE offers commercial, personal and specialty products and risk management solutions to help people and businesses manage risks, build strength and embrace change to their advantage.
Most recently, Ruwanie served as Head of Investments at ANZ Staff Superannuation.
Prior to that, Ruwanie was with the Commonwealth Bank where she most recently held the position of Chief Investment Officer for seven years. She initially served as Head of Investment Operations, a role she held for over three years.
Earlier in her career, Ruwanie served as Director Investment Operations for the NSW Government – Safety Return to Work and Support Division and as a Consultant at Mercer.
Ruwanie holds a Bachelor of Business/Commerce and a Bachelor of Science, both from UNSW Sydney.
