Global Investment Institute congratulates Richard Brandweiner on his appointment to the Chief Investment Officer role at the Future Fund.
The Future Fund is Australia’s sovereign wealth fund and manages money on behalf of the Australian Federal Government. The Future Fund is the country's single-largest financial asset with ~A$335 billion in assets under management.
Richard will commence in his new role on 1 July 2026 and will also join the fund’s Senior Leadership Team. Most recently, Richard served as Chief Executive Officer at Pendal Group, Australia.
Previously, Richard was Chief Investment Officer at First State Super (now Aware Super) and prior to that, Group Executive at Perpetual.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Economics from UNSW and is a CFA Charterholder.
