Global Investment Institute will host two Equities Investment Forums in 2026, extending the program beyond its annual September gathering in Melbourne, to bring the event to Sydney in the first quarter of the year.

The addition of a Sydney forum creates a biannual rhythm for equities-focused dialogue in Australia. Investment leaders will now have the opportunity to engage with investment insights and peer perspectives every six months, rather than waiting a full year between discussions.
“This cadence reflects the pace of change in equity markets and the value of regular exchanges,” said Global Investment Institute’s Managing Director Zlatan Kapetanovic.
“We’ve had investors asking us to host more of our gatherings in Sydney for some time, so we’re delighted to be in a position to offer a second equities event and to host it in Sydney CBD next year.”

The Equities Investment Forum focuses on investment opportunities within the equities asset class and addresses critical issues in portfolio construction, analysing emerging investment opportunities across strategies and regions. It assesses key risks and approaches to managing those risks in pursuit of desired investment objectives, in the context of a dynamic and rapidly evolving economic, political and regulatory environment.
Each forum features moderated discussions and interactive sessions designed to encourage knowledge sharing and idea generation, in a peer setting. Attendance is by invitation-only and limited to key decision makers representing Australia’s and New Zealand’s leading institutional asset owner organisations across superannuation, sovereign wealth funds, government funds, insurers, statutory funds and other institutional-scale asset owner organisations.
