Content Director

Global Investment Institute is looking for an investments all-rounder with excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills for the newly created role of Content Director in our growing team.

Global Investment Institute (GII) is Australia’s leading provider of conferences for capital allocators. We connect institutional investors, family office and private wealth investment leaders with peers and global investment experts to share knowledge and thought leadership in a private, collegiate and discussion-focussed setting, conducted under Chatham House Rule.

The Role
The Content Director is a senior role, responsible for managing high-quality conference programs and digital media content. This role is likely to suit a candidate with experience in conference producing/programming, investment analysis, investment report writing, finance journalism, or corporate communications within an investment organisation. It may also suit an investor or asset consultant looking for a change that would still see them remain deeply connected to the industry.

It is essential to understand and take an active interest in global markets and investments to be successful in this role.

The Successful Candidate
To be successful in the role, you will have the following skills and attributes;

  • Impeccable attention to detail.

  • Exceptionally strong written communication skills.

  • Experience in producing high quality editorial content.

  • Understanding of digital marketing and persuasive language.

  • Experience in finance or similarly professional environment.

  • Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and keen willingness to learn.

  • A commitment to client service and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Outstanding organisational skills, initiative, and problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.

  • Effective, fast and accurate desktop researcher.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Experience with web-based mailing services and CRM, social media and website management.

  • Ability and willingness to re-set rooms and participate in the delivery of on-site meetings and events

  • Professional personal presentation.
